North Point Online is LIVE

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

A month or so I was able to work with North Point Ministries to shoot some images for their new online project North Point Online.  Basically, they needed some images of Buckhead Church that would help make the site sorta feel like you were walking around Buckhead Church on your way to the service. Eventually, the images will probably rotate which will be pretty coolio.

The site is live now, but the first official service will be held on August 16th and from then on, every Sunday during the 6pm ET service, people all over the world will be able to attend Buckhead Church and hear from our amazing pastor Andy Stanley, as well as our other amazing pastors such as Jeff Henderson…seriously, how lucky am I to get to hear these guys speak in person?!  Well, now you’ll be able to experience the entire service online, so check it out!  It’s a really amazing site, that’s pretty much the first of it’s kind.

I’m constantly amazed at our church and how creative they are!  Thanks to North Point and Buckhead Church for letting me participate in something bigger than ourselves!  I feel truly blessed to be a small part of NP Online.

So…for the photography, it was an interesting challenge because (as you’ll see) the video and content pretty much takes up the majority of the screen, so I took on this project with the intention of putting the interest of the photography in the corners, at the bottom, and away from the center of the photographs where it would usually be blocked by the video.  I hope you like ‘em…

Check out NP Online (here) and follow them on twitter (here).

Anna and Daniel Get Their Wedding ON!

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

Anna and Daniel know how to have a wedding…wow…this was one of the most energetic groups I’ve been able to photograph.  It was such a blast getting to know them and experience their amazing wedding at The Foundry at Puritan Mill in Atlanta.  Proof The Pudding did a great job in this beautiful venue and Janice @ Watermark Weddings did a fantastic job keeping everything organized and moving smoothly.  Thanks to Anna and Daniel for being so awesome, funny, friendly, energetic, dance-tastic, smiley, and everything in between!

Friday, July 24th, 2009

I was really fortunate to shoot with the Foushees the other day. My only complaint is that they’re already married! I wish I could shoot this super cute couple’s wedding!  Here are a couple of favs from the day. Still working out a couple kinks in the new blog format…but I hope you enjoy it.

Maddie's Senior Session

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

Last weekend, a friend of mine (Check out Brian’s work @ Studio6) came into town to shoot and meet other photogs in town.

I had a shoot scheduled with a musician from Birmingham who had to reschedule at the last minute. But Brian was coming, so we took Maddie (aspiring photog from Lovett high school) around the outskirts of Atlantic Station here in Atlanta for a little impromptu photoshoot. It was a blast. We found some cool locations and just practiced our craft. Sometimes it’s just great to get out and shoot for fun, because it let’s you try things you normally wouldn’t with a scheduled paying Client. Hopefully Maddie learned a little in the process, but we definitely snapped some great Senior pics along the way:
