Do you ever feel like this? I do….right now.

Adler is ONE!

Saturday, October 27th, 2007

I can’t believe it. It’s been a year. Well…Monday is the official year, but I thought I’d get a jump start on things. It’s amazing how far The Huntons have come since October 29th, 2006. Adler is now walking, talking (some is understandable), feeding himself, doing “touch down”, making baskets in his bathtub basketball goal…the list goes on…here are just a couple of my recent fav pics for Adler. He’s my favorite dude ever. I love you Adler!

This one will be great ammo against him when he starts bringing girls to the house! :)

You know what sucks??? Eating lunch in your cubicle. Yep…I’m doin it, but at least today’s lunch is quite tasty. Kristine rocked me out with a packed lunch of her homemade chicken pot pie, Goldfish (sorry I stole Adler’s snacks), and green apples with caramel sauce.

Tonight I’m giving my second talk of the year at Young Life. Should be fun, but I didn’t have a ton of time to prepare for it, since I was running around the country for the last 2 weeks. I’m using the story of Jesus healing the Leper and tying that to my experience last week when we cleaned up the dirtiest house of all time (see below). Anyway, pray that I’ll be funny and relevant and funny. ;) Well, I hope that they’ll get something out of it.

Adler's Parents Got Dressed Up

Wednesday, October 24th, 2007

Over the past 2 weeks I’ve been between Dallas, Houston and Atlanta a gagillion times. Kristine and I got to go to a couple weddings during that time, and let me just say that I think my wife is smokin. It was fun to have some grown up time with friends at the weddings that didn’t involve staring at our cute babies for hours. We got dressed up and got out on the town. It was great fun seeing everyone, especially my wife in her dress.

My bro got me Adobe LightRoom for my birthday. Not only was this a really great gift (he must have gotten a raise), but it’s changing my life when editing pics. I’m really excited because I’ve got a couple shoots for friends coming up, and a wedding in December, so here are the first couple of images I took (now shooting RAW) and edited with LightRoom.

More updates to come, but the last 2 weeks have been filled with craziness, confusion, thoughts of future, etc etc.
Much love.

Stevo "28!!!" and Growing

Monday, October 8th, 2007

So…the name of the blog had to change today, due to October 7th’s ability to increase my age by another digit. I’m officially 28 years old and still feeling pretty good. It’s been a great weekend with friends and family. From the Josh Rouse concert, to my first experience of Atlanta’s Greek Festival, to a surprise b-day party that I was WAY too gullible to figure out. It was almost embarrasing that I didn’t catch on.

“Hey Kristine, what are all those cupcakes for”…”wow, that’s a lot of chili for 2 people”…

Overall, I had a great birthday. Overall, the past year has been one of excitement, adjustment and fun. To think that at one point of being 27 (for like 22 days), I was SANS child. The rest of the year has been one new day after the other. I loved being a 27 year old Dad, and I’m pretty sure I’m going to love being 28 while doing it too. It’s so crazy to look back on 365 days of change…what will this next year bring? What will The Huntons look like in 365 more days?
